Try this delicious blackberry & plum tart for a tasty treat. Made with shortcrust pastry, blackberries and delicious juicy plums.


1 roll all butter shortcrust pastry

1 beaten egg white

45Og plums, halved and stoned

150g blackberries

75g demerara sugar


Preheat oven to 200°C / 180°C fan

Unroll the pastry sheet onto baking sheet and lightly brush with the beaten egg white

Cut each plum half into 2-3 slices and then with the blackberries scatter over the pastry, leaving a 2cm border

Pinch up border of the pastry to raising the edges slightly

Brush the edges of the pastry with the egg white and sprinkle half of the sugar over the fruit

Bake for 20 minutes until pastry is golden and the fruit cooked, then scatter remaining sugar over hot tart

Serve warm.
