Fair Oak Cider

Cider & perry in St Margarets, Herefordshire

Traditional Golden Valley cider made the old way: apples from small local orchards are crushed in a horse-powered mill, worked by a Gypsy Cob, and squeezed through hessian on a stone press, then fermented in the cider house. The mill was restored in 2012, and they hold an open weekend each autumn to watch it working.
