Earth & Ocean is a directory of the UK's small, independent food and drink producers - the people who make, grow, rear, catch, brew, bake and cure it themselves.
Search by name, browse the map or pick a category, then head straight to the producer's own website. Many welcome visitors - a farm shop, cellar door, tasting room, tours or their own shop - and you can plan a food trip around them.
Who you'll find here
Cheesemakers, bakers, beekeepers, brewers, distillers, cider makers, smokehouses, farms and more. Every listing is small batch, independent and usually family run - not the brands you'll find in every supermarket. We check each one by hand before it goes live.
Plan a food trip
Heading somewhere? Tap “Can visit” on the Producers page to see places with a farm shop, cellar door, taproom or tours. Add them to your trip from the map or their pages and we'll put them in a sensible driving order, ready to open in Google Maps. Opening times vary, so check with each producer before you set off.
Why it exists
Earth & Ocean was started by a documentary cameraman who has spent years filming food across the UK, from farm gates and harbours to Michelin starred kitchens. The same thing kept coming up: brilliant producers that hardly anyone outside their area had heard of.
Buying local keeps money in local economies and keeps these businesses going. We want to make that easy, wherever you are in the UK.

Are you a producer?
If you're on Earth & Ocean, it's because we love what you make. Listing is free, and it always will be. Every genuine small producer can be here, whether or not they ever pay us a penny. If people can visit you, tell us and you'll show under “Can visit” and in food trips.
Make your page yours
Find your page and tap “Make this page yours”. Once we've checked it's really you, the page is yours to shape:
- tell your story in your own words
- add photos of what you make
- add your opening times and where people can visit or buy
- point people straight to your shop, website and social pages
- keep everything up to date whenever things change
Your page will then show “Managed by the makers”, so visitors know the details come straight from you. It's free, and always will be.

Producers with the red Member badge have joined Earth & Ocean as members. You'll see the badge on their page, in search results and on the map. Membership is separate from claiming your page, and we'll be adding optional extras for members to help them stand out. If you'd like to hear about membership, get in touch.
